Venomous Snakes
Specialized venom apparatus, including as a venom gland to manufacture and store venom, fangs to inject, compressor muscles to apply pressure, and other complex systems, are used by venomous snakes to inject their prey. Venomous snakes in India typically have front fangs. Complex mixes of different-sized proteins, enzymes, and other substances make up snake venom. The human body may experience severe systemic consequences from snake venom, as well as mild local effects. Depending on the snake's species, the extent of the bite, and other factors, death may happen in a matter of minutes to many hours.
